JAMES HATCHMAN & LUKE KARABATSOS

Co-Founders of Voice of Health

Topic: Digital Addiction - Knowing when to look up and down

James and Luke have experienced quite the journey, from an Officer in the Royal Australian Navy, Teacher, Real Estate Agent to a Finance Analyst; their eclectic backgrounds come with a wealth of knowledge and insight. But only one thing could captured their hearts…’Mental Health’.

Over the past 18 months, James and Luke have been developing Voice of Health, which is a platform that builds greater social connectivity, belonging and personal empowerment. It is a place where people can learn and share with others, talk without fear of judgement, develop strategies and promote continuous self-management of their mental health and wellbeing.

Voice of Health bridges the gap between individuals who are currently living in silence and those who are seeking full professional support for their mental health concerns. The mobile application is designed to break down the barriers of entry by providing people with access to a community of support.

James and Luke will shine a light on mental health like you’ve never seen before, discussing strategies, providing eye opening realisations and empowering you to know when to look up and down.

VANESSA TRAN

Founder, Ditox

Topic: The Ditox movement - It's time to realise, rethink and reconnect with ourselves and others

Over the past seven years, Vanessa Tran has been working every day in digital marketing and has admittedly been in unhealthy relationships. After spending countless hours on digital devices and facing mental health challenges, Vanessa realised she wasn't alone. She needed to be mindful. People were becoming so mindlessly addicted to digital devices and would prefer to not interact or engage with the ‘real world’. After doing digital detoxes and getting back on the path to wellness, she created Ditox, to help people reconnect again.

Ditox is Australia's first digital health and wellbeing company. As Founder of Ditox, Vanessa aims to enrich people's lives through meaningful reconnection. Realising technology reliance, rethinking habits, and reconnecting to ourselves and others is why Ditox exists. Getting focused, being present and becoming balanced, through the power of meaningful reconnection, Vanessa believes people can improve their digital wellbeing in all our plugged-in lives.

The Ditox project aims to educate, inspire and help people focus on what’s important to them, become more mindful and present, and live less-cluttered and more joyful lives.
